Carpet and Upholstery

Spotting carpet and upholstery can be fairly easy if a few basic steps are followed. First, be fast when it comes to removing a stain. Blot, vacuum, or scoop up any excess stain-causing material right away. Try to figure out what the material was that caused the spot and pick a chemical remover designed for that type of stain. Always test a hidden area of carpet or upholstery to make sure the chemical remover you plan to use will not damage the fabric. Use as little chemical spot remover as possible. Follow label directions exactly. Always use clean, soft towels and brushes when working with fabrics. Give the chemical plenty of time to work. After cleaning, blot gently with clear water and clean towels to remove chemical excess. Avoid scrubbing action if possible!
